Description
This course takes you further along your 'Building Confidence Through Creativity' journey, supporting you as you refine your painting skills and develop greater expressive confidence. Through engaging acrylic painting, you'll explore colour, light, and texture in depth while strengthening your personal artistic style.
You'll learn in a warm, supportive environment with clear step-by-step guidance. All essential materials are provided, and you're welcome to bring your own canvas if you prefer to work on a personal surface.
What we explore (the themed sessions offered are varied depending on the length of the course):
- The Natural World - Desert Sunset A glowing horizon scene focusing on warm gradients, smooth blending, and tranquil atmosphere.
- Everyday Beauty - Fresh Flowers in a Jar A vibrant still life exploring colour harmony, composition, and expressive brushwork.
- Places & Objects - Candlelight on the Windowsill A soft, atmospheric study of warm light, gentle shadows, and reflective surfaces.
- The Natural World - Pebbles and Shells A calming coastal composition experimenting with texture, shape, and natural patterns.
- Places & Objects - Old Garden Gate A nostalgic outdoor piece combining structure, foliage, and the mood of a weathered scene.
- The Natural World - Cherry Blossom Path A serene spring landscape focusing on rhythm, repetition, and flowing brushstrokes.
- Connection with Nature - Birds on a Wire A minimalist composition highlighting simplicity, balance, and expressive silhouettes.
- Mood & Atmosphere - Golden Hour Shadows A warm, glowing study exploring long shadows, soft highlights, and evening light.
- Seasons - Summer Picnic Scene A joyful seasonal painting using vibrant colours and layered perspective.

What are the entry requirements for this course?
This course is suitable if you have completed our Developer Level in this subject or a similar subject area, or have previous experience, and want to explore further and learn more extensively.
What will I need to bring?
All essential materials are provided, and you're welcome to bring your own canvas if you prefer to work on a personal surface. Please also bring photo ID with you e.g. passport or driving licence.
Will I be assessed?
There is no formal assessment for this course. Your tutor will provide feedback to help you improve.
