Description
This is a Starter Writing course that helps you learn how to write simple and useful texts for everyday life in the UK. You will practise short messages, notes, basic emails, and simple letters in a friendly course designed to help you feel more confident writing in English.
This course is for adults who already know a little English and would like to improve their basic writing skills. It is suitable for anyone who needs to write simple messages at school, work, at appointments, or in the community.
With support from your tutor, you will learn how to write short and clear sentences, simple emails and letters, notes, forms, small notices and advertisements. You will practise useful everyday vocabulary, basic linking words, and simple formal and informal styles. You will also learn how to check your writing for clarity and correctness.
The course runs for 5 sessions, each lasting 2 hours. It is taught in a friendly group with guided writing practice, examples, short tasks, and supportive feedback from the tutor. This course is also a great first step if you want to continue improving your writing skills in the future.

This course is suitable if you're a beginner and want to learn about this subject, and you don't have relevant knowledge or experience. You will need to have internet access and be able to join on Teams.

There is no formal assessment for this course. Your tutor will provide feedback to help you improve.
